How to Defeat Queen Azshara – A World of Warcraft Azshara’s Eternal Palace Raid Guide

It's time to go dungeon delving.

There’s a new raid out for World of Warcraft and players are hyped. That being said, completing this raid will definitely not be an easy task.

Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara has introduced the new, bustling world of Nazjatar. This world is filled with naga and ruled by the terrifying Queen Azshara. Players that want to compete in the new raid will have to make their way to Azshara’s Eternal Palace and face a massive eight-boss dungeon.

Each boss drops the same base item level loot, being 400 LFR, 415 Normal, 430 Heroic and 445 Mythic. That being said, there are few bosses as satisfying to defeat as the Queen Azshara herself. To that end, here are a few quick tips on how you can defeat the naga enchantress.

Here’s What Loot Azshara Can Drop

If you are going to throw down with the queen of Nazjatar, you better be doing it for good reason. After all, this is one tough boss. Luckily, this naga enslaver drops some pretty decent loot.

Here are Azshara’s Phases

There are four phases to the Azshara boss fight. Each one offers a unique set of challenges, so let’s get to it.

Stage One

Azshara will summon Aethanel, and Cyranus, the cursed lovers, at the beginning of the battle. In order to end the phase, you will have to defeat these two enemies.

The condition “Painful Memories” will activate when the two lovers catch sight of each other. The condition “Longing” will activate when the two lovers are incapable of seeing each other. If the lovers are incapable of locating each other while under the “Longing” condition or if they see each other for too long while under the “Painful Memories” condition, then the lovers will experience “Torment.”

“Torment” increased the lovers’ haste by 65% and their damage output by 50%. If you stand in the lovers’ “Cursed Heart” AoE, then you will also suffer 15 Shadow Damage per second as well as a 30% reduction in attack speed, casting speed and movement.

Stage Two

Azshara will enter the fight during this stage. To end the stage, you will have to reduce the queen’s health to 70%.

Azshara’s minions will eventually begin sacrificing themselves to help charge the Ward of Power. Make sure to clean the map of any trash enemies to minimize this boon.

Another important thing to make not of is Arcane Invulnerability. If you are hit by one of Azshara’s Arcane Missiles or her Arcane Burst, then you will suffer a stack of Arcane Invulnerability. Each stack forces you to take an additional 5% damage from any arcane source for the next 11 seconds.

Stage Three

During the third stage, Azshara will bring her Tidemistresses into the fight. The Tidemistresses will deal AoE damage to all enemies with a “Static Shock.” The targeted player will explode for 15 nature damage within an eight yard radius. Their “Lighting Bolt” ability arcs from enemy to enemy, dealing 30 nature damage to the first enemy and 20% less damage to each consecutive enemy. Consequently, you are going to want to keep an eye on your positioning throughout this phase. Otherwise, your team can get drained of their health rather quickly.

Stage Four

Within the final stage, you will have to maintain the Titan Console while simultaneously facing down the queen. You will face many of the same dangers you faced in the third phase. However, the Titan Console will Short Circuit and experience Massive Energy Spikes. These will drain charges at a rapid pace.
