Yemoja Guide

Yemoja is a force to be reckoned with during the laning phase. Her innate healing and mana restoration allow her to overpower most solo laners and remain in the lane indefinitely. Focus on swiftly clearing minion waves with your 3 and 1 abilities, then harass the enemy solo laner with basic attacks and your 2 ability. The movement speed from your 2 ability makes evading enemy abilities effortless while dealing damage.

For optimal lane control, use the standard solo build: Warrior’s Blessing, Shoes of Focus, Breastplate of Valor, Genji’s Guard. This provides cooldown reduction, mana, and protections to take command of your lane.

In team fights, Yemoja dominates in the mid or solo lane positions. Her ultimate supplies peel, healing, and crowd control for damage dealers, so staying near allies dealing high damage is ideal. Yemoja can also function as a durable frontline fighter, using your 3, 1 and ultimate abilities to disrupt the enemy team. Your build should incorporate cooldown reduction, mana, and protections. Recommended items are Shoes of Focus, Breastplate of Valor, Genji’s Guard.

Yemoja’s 3 ability, “Crashing Waves,” is her primary clear and poke tool. Utilize it to fully clear minion waves and damage the enemy solo laner. The knockup also interrupts enemies and sets up kills for your team. Your 1 ability, “Bouncing Bubble,” provides a shield, heal, and slow. Use it to sustain yourself and your allies in fights and protect them. Your 2 ability, “River’s Rebuke,” grants movement speed, mana regeneration, and bonus damage on your next basic attack. Activate it for lane pressure, then use the empowered basic attack and movement speed to evade enemy abilities and land additional poke.

Your ultimate, “Omi,” changes the course of battle. Use it on objectives like the Gold Fury or Fire Giant to secure them for your team. In team fights, place it on allies being attacked or to separate the enemy team. The knockup and damage will turn the tide of battle in your favor. Omi also provides extra healing, so position it where your allies will be fighting for maximum sustain.

As Yemoja, your role is providing utility. Supply healing, shields, knockups and protection for your damage dealers. Harass the enemy backline with your 3 ability and basic attacks to disrupt them, then retreat to defend your own damage dealers. Yemoja is most effective following up on your teammates’ initiations rather than starting fights herself.

In summary, Yemoja reigns supreme during the laning phase and brings tremendous team fight utility. Master her abilities to optimize healing, disruption and objective control. Build cooldown reduction and mana to frequently utilize your abilities, and stay close to allies to keep them alive. Follow up on your team’s initiations with your crowd control, rather than instigating fights yourself. When played skillfully, Yemoja secures victories through sustain and disruption. Her adaptability across roles and ability to synergize with any team composition makes her a formidable pick at any skill level.
