Destiny 2’s The Final Shape trailer shows Ikora talking to a mysterious and very well spoiled character for an entire minute then drops a date for more information (September 22 2023). It seems the next season will drop sometime in February of 2024. Watch the trailer first before you get details from anyone, though the preview image spoils it all: Short and long of it, that’s Cayde-7 who is staring at “The Final Shape.” The number in an Exo is how many times they’ve been rebooted. Cayde has been rebooted again and they’re on their way to the Final Shape. The Final Shape is the result of the Witness attempting to bring order to chaos and make sense of a meaningless world (literally). You can understand more in the following cutscene: Things seem to be wrapping up in Destiny 2 for either a time skip, a reboot or some finality…

It looks like the developers from Escape from Tarkov have had it with dataminers. Dataminers have been plaguing the Escape from Tarkov’s development team for a while now, but it looks like it’s gotten to the point where they’re releasing an official statement and looking to take action against those who do it. As a reminder, this is a PvP only game, so any kind of unfair advantage isn’t cool. Battlestate Games has made it clear in their statement that they won’t tolerate data mining anymore in their game. The community response is mixed. They don’t want cheaters, but it looks like some information is really desired. There’s a lot of back and forth in the 980+ replies including some of the wiki editors who got caught in a ban getting unbanned: That’s kind of a wild saga to follow. Escape from Tarkov is $49.99 as a pre-order currently with…

Diablo IV has a very anticlimactic ending that may leave you scratching your head if the game is really over or what has occurred. It may not make a lot of sense at first, but there’s a few things at play when it comes to the ending. We’ll go first over the ending itself literally then take a figurative look at what all of this means for Sanctuary. Quick Note: For the backstory on Lilith, Inarius and Sanctuary see sort of “Part 1” which goes over the events before the game. We’re going to dive right into the ending, which kicks off towards the very end of Diablo IV. How Does Diablo IV End? Inarius and Lilith were both, from the player character’s point of view, insane from their time exiled. Inarius had been in hell for a few millennia per Lorath (which holds the canon from the books still)…

Halo is not the prime universe in the Bungie world; Marathon is. Which may surprise some who first found Bungie either through ONI or Halo, but the core timeline for the entire series rests with one of their earlier games: Marathon and Pathways into Darkness. Not only are these two games very important to the lore of both Halo and Destiny, but they’re also just as lore filled as those two games, if not more. Where Destiny has very little lore, PiD and Marathon have intense amounts of lore which to this day is studied and thought on. I’d like to propose a simplified version of the Bungie Multiverse Mythos and a simplified Timeline below that walks through the major highlights and plot points that you’d otherwise have to dig around for. Most articles focus on easter eggs and lore tidbits, but I want to focus on what the overall…

Borderlands 3 is the sequel to Borderlands 2 and kicks off with a new vault hunter back on Pandora taking on an epic adventure throughout the galaxy. There is a lot of the same and a lot of new things in this rendition and our review is pretty simple. If you want an FPS loot game that’s sillier than Destiny 2 and/or an improved version of Borderlands 2 then this game is a must have. The looter shooter has impressive combat, great guns and fun characters to play with some interesting and challenging encounters throughout the world. If you want a detailed story FPS game then, I’m not sure I would recommend Borderlands 3. The story, while long and very in-depth, isn’t very good. The basic premise is that there are two people who have taken over the bandits on Pandora and formed a cult. You’re basically fighting against the…

If at all you’re unfamiliar with the term “gameplay loop” basically have you ever played a game for a while and then just realized that after sinking hours and hours into this game that the game essentially boiled down to the same few minutes to an hour of gameplay repeated over and over again? Yea that’s the basic concept. We’ve all been through it, whether or not it is a deal breaker is up to you. Some would argue that every game is that at the most basic levels, those people would be half right but today let me focus on the single player games and at the more positive ones, the games that made us not think about it until we were already invested or until long after that. I’ll be completely honest and say what inspired me to write this is that I recently beat Crackdown 3, and…

It was just recently announced that a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will be dropping in 2019. I have never played the original, but from what I saw in the trailer, this game looks beautiful. The sequel to A Link to the Past, Link’s Awakening deals with hero Link stranded on a strange island after washing ashore while out at sea. I am excited to cintinue this specific Link’s story and see what his destiny holds for him. After the success of releasing A Link Between Worlds (which was basically a remake itself), it seems like a no-brainer for Nintendo to release a remake of Link’s Awakening. Originally released for the Game Boy, this remake is a great fit for the Nintendo Switch system, which can be played as a console or in mobile form. The game looks absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. The trailer for this game begins with a cartoon scene…

“I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.” A line every Pokemon fan is familiar with from the original show’s first song lyrics. In order to be the best, though, you need the most powerful Pokemon. As much as weaker Pokemon may be our favorites, sometimes they just don’t cut it. A constant recurring theme in Pokemon that it’s not how strong the Pokemon is, but how much their trainer cares about them, that wins a battle. As any Magikarp can attest, that’s not entirely true, but from a different perspective, it’s not entirely wrong either… Even the Pokemon most famous for being powerful can be outshined by weaker species of Pokemon by the way that they are raised. In that sense, putting more care into how you raise your Pokemon really does matter compared to just going by how strong a Pokemon inherently is. So…

This article will contain spoilers about Kingdom Hearts 3 and its ending, please be aware of this before you continue With the disclaimer out of the way, I have to say that I have very mixed feelings about the most recent entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. On one hand, the gameplay is amazingly fun, wonderfully customizable and as over the top and action packed as a kid that grew up with the franchise could hope for. On the other hand, this game was filled to the brim with story moments that made no sense, felt out of place and confused the hell out of even the most die-hard of KH fans. By the end of the game though, I had fallen back in love with the series that had always managed to bring a smile to my face and make me crave one more playthrough. Sadly though this isn’t…

Square Enix’s hit series Kingdom Hearts has been around since way back in 2002. Well, the seventeen-year-old franchise just hit another major milestone. The first Kingdom Hearts immediately snared the attention of gamers around the world. Featuring a crossover universe of Disney, beloved Square Enix characters and a slew of new faces, the game offered a vibrantly new and interesting experience. Since the release of the first game, Square Enix has released well over a dozen titles across a bevy of gaming platforms. The latest in the series is Kingdom Hearts 3, the final edition of the series’ main trilogy. The game was released Jan. 25 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One respectively. The title features the series original main character Sora, as the character is swept off to a battle between darkness and light. Set to search for the key to return hearts and the seven guardians of light,…
