White Knuckle is a climbing simulator that gives you two hands and a vague mission: go up. How you want to go up, the direction in which it’ll suggest, is entirely up to you. You can choose to use the convenient handholds, place Pitons or throw rebar which you can then climb on. A revamped (from the early demo days) tutorial shows the concepts and the game adds new challenges as more difficult types of maps come into play. That’s the main summary of the game itself but one thing I have to really stress: don’t let the early game fool you. It’s not… as brutally difficult (well it is) as one may first assume. You start with no items, just your hands and the first few maps of the Silos are not going to require more than just simple climbing. After your first break room, you’ll have some upgrades…
