What Happened to Helldivers 2?

It seemed like Helldivers 2 was unstoppable but midway through 2024 it has fallen down to where Bloons TD 6 and Fallout 76 rest on the charts. This fall from the top wasn’t really from any single incident, but a collection of decisions that consistently drove player counts down from the unexpected hype of its release. You may think the account linking fiasco is what destroyed the player counts, but the game was actually in free fall long before then: HELLDIVERS™ 2 – Steam Charts. The problems were not only fundamental to the game’s design but the developers and publisher both didn’t rectify the obvious game issues rapidly enough before they lost the vast majority of players due to attrition. Destiny 2 The Final Shape Trailer and Details Drop

Destiny 2’s The Final Shape trailer shows Ikora talking to a mysterious and very well spoiled character for an entire minute then drops a date for more information (September 22 2023). It seems the next season will drop sometime in February of 2024. Watch the trailer first before you get details from anyone, though the preview image spoils it all: Short and long of it, that’s Cayde-7 who is staring at “The Final Shape.” The number in an Exo is how many times they’ve been rebooted. Cayde has been rebooted again and they’re on their way to the Final Shape. The Final Shape is the result of the Witness attempting to bring order to chaos and make sense of a meaningless world (literally). Escape from Tarkov’s Developers Target Dataminers

It looks like the developers from Escape from Tarkov have had it with dataminers. Dataminers have been plaguing the Escape from Tarkov’s development team for a while now, but it looks like it’s gotten to the point where they’re releasing an official statement and looking to take action against those who do it. As a reminder, this is a PvP only game, so any kind of unfair advantage isn’t cool. Battlestate Games has made it clear in their statement that they won’t tolerate data mining anymore in their game. The community response is mixed. They don’t want cheaters, but it looks like some information is really desired. There’s a lot of back and forth in the 980+ replies including some of the wiki editors who got caught in a ban getting unbanned: That’s kind of a wild saga to follow. Borderlands 3 Review without Sass or Spoilers

Borderlands 3 is the sequel to Borderlands 2 and kicks off with a new vault hunter back on Pandora taking on an epic adventure throughout the galaxy. There is a lot of the same and a lot of new things in this rendition and our review is pretty simple. If you want an FPS loot game that’s sillier than Destiny 2 and/or an improved version of Borderlands 2 then this game is a must have. The looter shooter has impressive combat, great guns and fun characters to play with some interesting and challenging encounters throughout the world. If you want a detailed story FPS game then, I’m not sure I would recommend Borderlands 3. The story, while long and very in-depth, isn’t very good.
