Your roster in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will depend on who you’ve unlocked. Characters are either generally unlocked through story mode, parallel quests or via the Dragon Balls themselves. Below we go through each of the characters you can unlock and provide you with where you can unlock them.

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Unlock Guide

  • Adult Gohan, Majin Vegeta, Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu, Janemba, Broly, Broly (Supervillain), Gotenks: Unlocked through the story mode. Complete the Buu Saga of the story mode.
  • Bardock, Masked Saiyan, Towa, Mira/Mira (Supervillain), Future Trunks (DB Super): Unlocked through the story mode. After the battle with the Masked Saiyan, beat the final boss.
  • Cell (Supervillain): Complete Parallel Quest 90.
  • Cooler (Final Form): Complete Parallel Quest 25.
  • Future Trunks (DBZ Version), Future Gohan, Cell (Perfect): Unlocked through the story mode. Complete the Future Trunks Saga of the story mode.
  • Gogeta: Complete Parallel Quest 57 for halo version, Complete Parallel Quest 81 for non-halo version.
  • Goku, Kid Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Saibaman, Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Jaco: Complete the Saiyan Saga of the story mode.
  • Goku (GT), Trunks (GT): Complete Parallel Quest 92.
  • Goten (Kid) & Trunks (Kid): Complete Parallel Quest 48.
  • Great Saiyaman: Complete Parallel Quest 51.
  • Great Saiyaman 2 (Great Saiyawoman): Complete Parallel Quest 53.
  • Hercule: Complete Parallel Quest 56.
  • Hit, Eis Shenron, Nuovo Shenron, Omega Shenron: Collect all seven Dragon Balls, make a wish to Shenron, select the option ‘I want more usable characters!’ (Needs to be done 4 times).
  • Kid Buu (Supervillain): Complete Parallel Quest 60.
  • SSGSS Goku & Vegeta, Appule, Rasberry, Golden Frieza/Golden Frieza (Supervillain), Beerus, Cooler (Supervillain), Whis: Unlocked through the story mode. Complete the Battle of Gods and Resurrection F Sagas of the story mode.
  • SSG Goku: Complete Parallel Quest 67.

  • SSJ4 Gogeta: Complete Parallel Quest 94.
  • SSJ4 Goku & Vegeta, Pan: Complete Parallel Quest 93.
  • Super 17 (Android): Complete Parallel Quest 95.
  • Super Saiyan 3 Bardock (Bardock Battle Suit 4): Collect all 5 Time Distorted Eggs, then complete the ‘Unknown History’ Story quest.
  • Supervillain Omega Shenron: Complete Parallel Quest 96.
  • Supervillain Janemba: Complete Parallel Quest 57.
  • Teen Gohan, Metal Cooler, Android 16, Android 17, Android 18, Cell (First Form)/(Full Power), Cell Jr: Unlocked through the story mode. Complete the Android/Cell Saga of the story mode.
  • Vegito: Complete Parallel Quest 59.
  • Videl: Complete Parallel Quest 77.
  • Yamcha (Supervillain): Complete Parallel Quest 86.
  • Zarbon, Dodoria, Nail, Guldo, Recoome, Burter, Jeice, Ginyu, Turles, Slug, Frieza (First Form)/(Final Form)/(Full Power), Cooler (Fourth Form): Unlocked through the story mode. Complete the Namek/Frieza Saga of the story mode.
