With the release of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, later followed by the more commercially successful title Oblivion, Bethesda claimed their spot among the great developers for wide eyed, RPG playing video game fans around…

Kingdom Hearts has become a household name to the gaming community. That being said, the beloved franchise can fall victim to leaks just like any other. As far as series director Tetsuya Nomura is concerned, it might be time for some changes. Just last month, four copies of the long awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 were sold ahead of the game’s intended release. Publishing titan Square Enix has since been working hard to drown out any leaks concerning the game. However, Tetsuya Nomura is seemingly still concerned. Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released worldwide on Jan. 29. Speaking with Famitsu, Nomura revealed that he is reconsidering permitting worldwide retail releases following the recent leak. “Because of what happened, the risks for a simultaneous worldwide release are high, for any games that I work on henceforth, currently I cannot help but reconsider a simultaneous worldwide release for at the very least the…

Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps the top game on many RPG players’ lists right now. That being said, it would appear that the game’s development will simply have to do without the title’s lead writer. Cyberpunk 2077 is the next big title in development from CD Projekt Red, the RPG masterminds behind the Witcher series. While the game is still in development, a recent report is now claiming that Sebastian Stepien (lead writer for Cyberpunk 2077) has left CD Projekt Red. As reported by IGN, Stepien has left CD Projekt Red in order to join Blizzard as a creative director. Stepien was previously one of three creative directors on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Stepien leaving the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 may mean that his role as lead writer has already been completed. Grant it, the game has yet to receive a release date or even a release window. Consequently, it…

Speaking in a recent promotional tweet, creative director Jean-Sebastien Decant has now revealed that Far Cry New Dawn will feature some RPG elements. “We pushed what we call the light RPG approach in the game to create more depth, so you’ll be able to craft guns that have ranks, and these ranks they will be useful to fight against enemies that also have ranks.” Decant said. “We have what we call the escalation system for the outposts,” Decant later continued, noting changes…

EA Vancouver has reportedly been developing a new Star Wars game as of late. However, it would appear that Electronic Arts has decided to pull the proverbial plug. As reported by Kotaku, the game was initially intended to be a sprawling, open-world game within the Star Wars universe. However, EA has since cancelled the game in favor of developing a smaller scale title. In a recent statement to Kotaku, EA danced around the topic of the cancelled game. Seemingly dodging the allegation, the publishing titan simply offered a few words on “future Star Wars content.” Check out the full statement down below. “There’s been speculation overnight about one of our Star Wars projects. As a natural part of the creative process, the great work by our team in Vancouver continues and will evolve into future Star Wars content and games. We’re fully committed to making more Star Wars games, we’re…

Following a video from YouTuber TheQuartering — who noted the game’s low availability on Amazon as one of many reasons for Fallout 76’s potential move to free-to-play — the rumor of the game’s shift to being a free service sky rocketed. However, it would appear that there is no reason to get excited quite yet. Fallout 76 is the latest in Bethesda’s highly popular Fallout series. While Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 have been met largely with high praise, Fallout 76 has met negative critical reception. The game currently holds a Metacritic score of 52 for its PC version. None the less, news of the game’s potential shift to free-to-play snared the attention of many longtime Fallout fans. A fan would go on to ask Bethesda if there is any truth to the rising rumor. Bethesda however has since categorically denied any intention to take Fallout 76 to a free-to-play…
