Railgrade is the latest in a short line of train simulation games that put you in the seat of managing not only the train paths but the economies of running the train system, routes and resources. You’ve got to be profitable and, on many missions, do so within a certain time to get that S rank. This guide is both for new players and to help you get S Rank on each stage. It takes a combination of the following tips to really shine in Railgrade. Understanding the Game Mechanics In Railgrade, exporting and delivering goods to a consumer yield the same money reward. You should always prioritize delivery over exporting, except in cases where you lack the funds to clear produced goods. Cities have a storage limit for growth materials, but they will continuously accept all growth quantity. If their storage is full, they will pay only half the…

Feng Shui is a very deep practice that has many elements and a lot of philosophy to it. Often thought of in offices and at home, yet rarely thought of in video game homes. Yet, the basic principles of Feng Shui can apply to your Minecraft, Valheim, Rust, Grounded, etc. base just as well at your apartment or house. Let’s dive into that. The Flow of Energy In Feng Shui the idea is that the entrance of the house is where energy begins to flow from. Pathways that everyone walks brings energy with it and manipulating that flow of energy is how you can have good energy or bad energy within a home. While this is a massive oversimplification, that oversimplification can really help to understand the basic principle here. If you think about your base in a game, especially a multiplayer base, you can quickly see the pathways where…

Starfield’s physical drama has been resolved, with Bethesda quietly updating their storage page to denote that the game disc will be included with the Xbox release. PC release will get a code in the box, which to be fair – is fair. In order to use a CD I’d have to trust it, first of all and then second I’d need to use my USB CD/DVD reader which I’ve lost. This concludes the weekend’s drama we covered earlier where they took back a post saying that there would be no disc with the physical release of the game. That is the story it seems. Except there’s more unanswered questions. Will the collector’s edition come with a disc (the likely answer is no since they call out specifically the standard edition). Then there’s like, can the game fit on a disc? Like will a single disc hold it, will be a…

Valheim is an amazing viking journey through a hostile world made so much better with friends. One of the beautiful things about Valheim is that single player can become multiplayer at anytime by inviting other players into your world and vice-verse. This of course requires your computer to be on and you to be playing, but what about when everyone wants to build cooperatively but not have the host on? Then it’s time for a dedicated server. You could rent a dedicated server for a myriad of hosts. It’s simple and some even let you host mods. If you do that you’re basically done; rent the server, follow the server hosts guide and voila. Yet you’re now stuck paying for a server that you could play this month or you could not and often times these hosts can have data export restrictions making your game world… their game world. So…

Discovery Phasers have been around awhile and have a really cool effect in Star Trek Online, coming from Star Trek: Discovery. Obtaining them can be quite expensive, but there’s a cheap and easy workaround that doesn’t require an absolute ton of grinding. This is especially true for newer characters who enjoy the look of the phasers but don’t want to pay the auction house prices. Discovery Phasers: From Missions You can do the “Downfall” mission which can drop the phasers. It’s going to take a bit to get them all but doesn’t require anything but running the mission itself. Not the best option for newer players but it’s easy and quick and gets you the phasers. Use the Shared Bank Make a Discovery Character and continue until you reach “Go to Priors World.” Have another character put energy credits (we have a guide to farming EC if you need help)…

SIGNALIS only allows for six inventory spaces and many players do not like the concept at all. So much so the developers have responded noting that they’re working on iterating on some kind of change that doesn’t remove the spirit of the gameplay but alleviates some of the player concerns. For me, I find the entire debate fascinating. The issue stems from the way that the game presents the inventory as sort of a puzzle challenge, akin to games likes Resident Evil. It forces the player into a set playstyle, something modern gamers aren’t very appreciative of, where you will always optimize your run by not bringing ammo and only carrying one weapon. That gives you five inventory slots for all other items. Yet, players who play the game on Easy or Normal will likely want to play aggressively and in doing so will want different weapon options, lots of…

For those of you who have ever worked a job that had any kind of meeting this may actually resonate differently than those who haven’t. When video games are developed there are, surprisingly, a lot of meetings that occur. When we’re talking meetings we’re talking a lot of meetings. So many meetings that it’s actually kind of fascinating to think about. None of the below is really applicable to single developer games that don’t utilize outside contractors. Single developers naturally work entirely alone on their own game and purchase / generate all the assets and resources themselves. Single developers who contract out work still have meetings, interestingly enough. Meetings and Video Games So there’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen. You have the product team, that’s the developer and the game designer along with their associated analysts and support staff. You have a technical team that’s got a considerable…

Gems are a premium currency in Legends of Idleon and are obtained both with real world cash and freely in the game. While the easiest way to obtain gems is to buy them directly and conversely, the cheapest way is through a bundle when offered. Yet that doesn’t mean you can’t get a fair amount for free in the game. Let’s go over the daily stops you’re going to want to hit to farm gems. Below are the reasonable sources to farm gems from and how often they reset. If you have trouble with bosses, make sure you’re using the right class. Every Boss in the Game (Daily) All mini-bosses and bosses in the game drop gems (although you may need to unlock it for that world at the task board). This is the primary method of farming gems. For bosses, you’ll want to use the lowest level (1 key…

Grinding items in Legends of Idleon can be painful and Lava, the developer, has designed it to have a considerable amount of push and take. When you afk at any location or actively farm there, you obtain drops from monsters. In World 1 & World 2, these drops have to be farmed manually. Starting in World 3, with the 3D printer you can automatically print resources by using the sampling skill. No tutorial is needed, the starting questline in W3 gives you the sampling skill and asks you to sample two things. You can then go to the 3D printer (once unlocked via construction) and then assign each character to print up to two items. All of the gem purchases for the printer are amazing. There is no class for sampling, although check out our class tier list to figure out which class order to go in. Print Cycles The…

There’s a few things that’s kind of hard to find in the world of video game collecting and one of them is hilariously enough storage solutions. It’s quite difficult to obtain some method to store and display physical games which is where Rose Colored Gaming’s “Köffin” comes in. A full acrylic shell to cover your game from all edges and protect it from the elements while allowing you to still see the full game inside. About RCC’s Koffin Coming in two variants, a base model at ~$20 USD and a UV protective model at ~$30. They are actually quite extremely expensive with the most sincere honesty here when it comes to game storage. The general plastic covers that you can buy in bulk come maybe a dollar a piece; if you buy from a game store sometimes they’ll charge you a few bucks each. These those come with a hefty…
