More and more I’m becoming an eco-aware person because I’m finding paper straws are showing up more frequently in restaurants. Paper straws are a much more eco-friendlier version of the plastic straw which shouldn’t exist, but do. The mouthfeel of them is so awful and the taste of the beverage so far ruined that it makes me mad respect when the sweet lady at the sushi place behind where I live gets on everyone to reuse their straws. We need to cut carbon emissions fast and it’s growing more obvious each day. If we don’t, paper straws are just the start of the dystopian future where the US starts issuing Star Citizen packages as bonds and Bitcoin is the official in-game currency of World of Warcraft. We don’t need to jux our reality any further from the median into some Demolition Man world with the shells. They’re not the solution…

MMOs were revolutionary when they first arrived on the gaming scene, and although they seem to have left the limelight, they are very much running strong. Unless you were already an active part of these communities, you would never know, but all of the games on this list receive regular updates, and most were updated within a week of the publishing of this very article even. So, here are our top picks for MMOs in 2019! 5. Star Wars: The Old Republic When Star Wars: The Old Republic came onto the scene it exploded in popularity and although the hype has died down a bit, there is still a very dedicated community and for good reason. SW: TOR is the most expansive Star Wars game to date, allowing you to live out every possible Star Wars fantasy you might have, wanna play as a Good Sith? Done. Wanna play as…

Who doesn’t love free stuff? Right? like if I offered you a free sandwich would you honestly say no? So why would you do it with a video game? The FTP market may be oversaturated but there are still some gems hidden in all that mess, and that is what we are here for. So today I’m breaking down the best games on the PS4 that not only won’t break the bank, they won’t even tough your wallet. 5. Brawlhalla If you want to play Super Smash Bros’ but don’t have a Switch this is your next best pick. Brawlhalla is a fighting game that works in much the same way as the SSB series, you pick a champion and fight with up to four of your friends in home or online in a 2D platform mayhem brawl. While the gameplay isn’t quite as tight as it’s predecessor the game…

If you’ve been around the video game block long enough you know that video games can be terrifying, the ways that developers push the bounds with horror games these day can be amazing, but the important word there is CAN. For every Bioshock there is a thousand garbage Five Nights at Freddie’s ripoffs that just throw a slightly creepy visual at you with some loud noise and quick movement and they expect you to be scared every time the same animation happens. Boring, boring, boring. Sure it catches you off guard the first couple of times but after that it just kinda wears you down and you miss the good ol’ days of Silent Hill 2 or Resident Evil, but every once in a while there comes a game that manages to do something special. This list is celebrating the games that can provide that creepy, eerie feeling that horror…

From Lair of the Shadow Broker to cosmetic horse armor, there has been varying degrees of quality when it comes to DLC but is it all just too much? Now don’t get me wrong I have absolutely L O V E D some DLC, the aforementioned Lair of the Shadow Broker, RDR Undead Nightmare, and Blood and Wine from Witcher 3 to name a few but I am also just getting worn out with DLC. For every Ballad of Gay Tony, there is a thousand garbage, poorly thought out, overly expensive, could have been in the game from the start pieces of trash that populate our online gaming stores., and it just wears you down after a while. Even some great DLC can still be damaging to the gaming community as a whole, like the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11, the game has already announced six whole DLC fighters to be…

If rumors are true then pretty soon we’ll have to start planning the funeral of the Microsoft Games division and the Xbox consoles. For a while now MS has been making some………. let’s just call them questionable decisions in terms of supporting Xbox and their exclusive games. For example, Xbox Play Anywhere has been an exciting combination of both sides of their business, using Xbox games to push their PC audience to buy through the Microsoft store but where they started tilting the scales too far was making Xbox exclusive games available on PC. When MS made Xbox exclusive games Play Anywhere they killed any interest the average gamer had in getting an Xbox, especially the One X. While it is true that the Xbox One X is graphically one of if not the best-looking home console on the market the more cost-effective option is just to get a decently…

If you have known Nintendo at any point in the past 15 years, then Reggie Fils-Amie is probably a familiar face and for great reason. Before his first appearance on stage with Nintendo back at E3 2004 the game company was known for being very stoic and flat when it came to presenting their games in North America but when the man later dubbed “The Regginator” introduced himself he brought with him a new era of Nintendo. One that wasn’t as uptight with its presentations, one that advertised games the same way that gamers felt playing them, and one that recaptured everything that made Nintendo great. My name is Reggie. I’m about kickin’ ass, I’m about takin’ names, and we’re about makin’ games.Reggie Fils-Amie at his first E3 with Nintendo 2004 Reggie quickly became a legend in the gaming community and was unofficially elected meme lord, with each press conference…
